V86®: Pedersen is on a roll

The trainer is on a roll.
13 wins in his last 27 starts.
The Bjerke licensed trainer Kim Pedersen knows which horse is his best chance at Solvalla on Wednesday.
"I think Zaire Heldia, who is undefeated in my training, should have a good chance to win".

The Danish native Kim Pedersen has trained in the Oslo area for a few years now and currently trains 27 horses.
On Wednesday, he makes the long trip to Stockholm and Solvalla.
He brings three horses, two of them are racing on V86.
Kim Pedersen thinks that his best chance is in V86-4, which is a leg of Solvallaserien for horses who are non-winners of SEK 150,000 lifetime. Örjan Kihlström gets the call behind the 4-year-old gelding Zaire Heldia, who has won four out of his twelve career starts.
The German-born Zaire Heldia was purchased in the Netherlands this past summer and he is off to a great start for his new connections.
"Yes, he has won two in a row in October and November it seems to be a good deal for the three part owners" says Pedersen.
Xaire Heldia had not raced for two months when he made his first start in Norway at the end of October.
"He was a bit heavy in his first start but he won in a very good way. He's a horse who doesn't do more than what's asked of him" says the trainer.

Crushed the leader
In his second start for Pedersen at the beginning of November, the 4-year-old was made the betting favorite in Jarlsberg and won easily after a first over trip. The driver Per Oleg Midfjeldt made his move early and crushed the Frode Hamre trainee High Performance in the lead, They face each other again this Wednesday, but this time High Performance starts from post twelve.
"Zaire Heldia was very good and so was the winning time, after a first over trip. So, his form seems to be getting better. The Hamre horse had only lost once in seven starts before that last start, so that shows how good he was" says Kim Pedersen.
He starts from post position ten behind the gate in a middle distance race this Wednesday. What type of trip would you like your horse to get?
"I have a horse who can do the hard work himself, and he wasn't tired despite the tough trip, in his last start. If the pace is low, Örjan has to make an early move first up. I think I have a very, very good horse for this class, He races with aluminum shoes all around, as usual".
You are also racing 5 The One (V86-2) with Erik Adielsson driving. The last time he raced at Solvalla, he had to take back to sit last after not having found a spot.
"He has a second place and a win at Bjerke after the Solvalla start and he raced well both times. So, he is in top form. I don't know the opponents but I know I have a nice and stable horse".
Your third starter on Wednesday also comes off a win. Kind Of Steel races before V86. Zeb Jonasson drives in the race, which is a leg of the apprentice series Guldklockan.
"Kind Of Steel is in good form and is easy to drive. I think he will fit in nicely in this apprentice race. He's a pretty uncomplicated horse who can both leave and close fast".
