The move has been encouraging for him. Kevin Oscarsson is chasing new victories on Wednesday.
"I want to make the bettors aware of Super Frasse," says the hometown trainer about the V86® card this Wednesday.
Kevin Oscarsson worked with his father Jim for many years before he opened u his own stable in 2021. He started at the family farm Blädingeås, just outside Vetlanda, with his license at Kalmar.
Last summer, Kevin received an offer to move to Axevalla and he chose to accept.
"We have absolutely no regrets. Blädingeås is a big and demanding and the upkeep was very time-consuming. We really like it here and so do the horses. The weather has been a bit up and down lately so we have been forced to mix up the training, but it's the same for many stables. Things are good already now and over time they will be even better," says Kevin Oscarsson.
Better than his past performances
Wednesday means V86® and this week, Solvalla shares the jackpot infused card with Axevalla where the Oscarsson stables has seven starters.
"It's here at home, fitting classes, and good money to race for and I hope we will battle for the win in a few of the races".
The first starter is 10 Kiss Me Sisu (V86-1) who has raced sporadically lately.
"He had some smaller issues, nothing major. He is searching for his form and I hope he can find his old self again. I will give him a nice trip here and lay a bit low with him".
4 Goddess Nike (V86-3) raced as recently as last Thursday, when she made a break.
"She made a break in the last turn and she couldn't get her gait together. She feels good but it doesn't work out when she races. I have to focus on keeping her flat and I lay low with her until she races better".
7 What A Winner (V86-5) was a disappointment in his first start for his new trainer.
"He had trained well, but acted up in the race. He was pulling hard and wasted a lot of energy on that. After that start, he was treated up the veterinarian and we also changed his training a bit. Hard to say how he will race".
"I also have 11 Urban Africa in the same race, his form is good, he is better than his past performances. Last time out, he didn't like the surface, hence the bad effort. He trains well and is ready for a good effort".
The long stretch benefits him
Kevin has three starters in V86-7 and he drives 3 Roger More himself.
"I'm not at all sure that he is the best one this time. Ability-wise, he is good enough for this field. Last summer he raced well in V75® several times and made it to the Sprint Championship final. He lost his form completely after that and we don't know why, he had something in his system. We decided to give him a break and start over with him and he feels good now but he is not trained to be sharp right away and I don't think he is in top form. I still think he will race well and the conditions are right for him since he can leave quickly".
"7 Lumberjack Bros races well every time. He trains well and I think he will come up with another good effort again and I won't be surprised he battles for the win here".
"8 Super Frasse has a bad post but despite of that, I want to make the bettors aware of him. He has put up several strong efforts in a row and he still feels good in training. The short distance is no advantage, but if the pace is high and if he can find a decent spot, Super Frasse will beat many down the stretch, Axevalla has a long stretch as we all know, and it benefits him".
