V86: (jackpot): "He must have a great chance to win – best horse to single on the card"

Daniel Wäjersten has several hot chances on the V86 card, spiced up by a jackpot.
His assistant trainer Oskar Florhed makes no secret about which horse is their best chance.
"Kingslayer Pellini must have a great chance to win. He is due for a win now and is the best horse to single on the entire card," he says, sharing great info about the stable's starters.

Bergsåker and Solvalla are sharing the hosting duties of this V86 card, spiced up by a jackpot, where SEK 18 million is in the pool for all eight winners picked. The capital track has Meadow Roads Minne on the program, with Don Fanucci Zet as the giant favorite, following the impressive win in his most recent start. The race winner will receive an invitation to Elitloppet, and it is quite likely that Daniel Redén will get another horse in the big battle at Solvalla, the last weekend of May, besides the already invited Francesco Zet.
Besides the sprint race, Daniel Wäjersten has several hot chances on the V86 card. The Bergsåker licensed trainer, with a winning percentage of almost 30 this year, starts five horses on the pick eight card. Assistant trainer Oskar Florhed has all the info for us. He sticks his neck out and appoints one of their horses not just the best horse to single on the card – but also the best chance of the month.
"9 Kingslayer Pellini (V86-7) has to have a great chance to win. He was locked in a bit in V75 when he finished third behind Riet Hazelaar. After that, he feels great in training and he's in excellent form. He is due for a win now and starting from the second tier hasn't bothered him before. No changes, barefoot all around and American sulky again. I think he is the best horse to single on the entire card and I would even say he's our best chance of the month. And it is only May 1," says Oskar Florhed.
"Great in V75 last time out – saving his feet for the final"
The Bergsåker apprentice jumps up in the sulky behind Take This Society in the fifth leg. But we will go over the starters from the stable in the order they appear in the program.
"1 Kingen Mearas (V86-1) bounced back in his last start, after a bad effort in Norway and he was great when he won V75. The changes we made worked out well and he won without going all out. Barefoot all around and the American sulky were effective changes on him but he will race with shoes this time, to save his feet for the final. He will race in the American sulky again, though. He is just above average out of the gate and there's a risk of him getting boxed in from post one. The Norwegian horse Belfort Rags is very quick, I drove against him myself in his last start. The focus will be on getting out and if he does, I don't think the race is all that tough. He's a nice horse and he showed that the clunker in Norway was an accident. He could win again if the trip works out from the inside post".
"7 Kilgore (V86-2) won a lunch race in Östersund in his last start and even if it wasn't a cheap race, it's still cheaper there than racing at Solvalla. He responded well to first time pullouts and from this post in a short-distance race, it will be tough to win. Possibly an American sulky this time, and he will race barefoot and with pullouts again".
"Won his last start – but still down in form"
"4 Global Easy Rider (V86-5) raced on a shorter distance than he has lately, in his last start and won, but I still think he is down in form a bit. He raced well last time out, but he is not as sharp as he was when he won four in a row earlier this year. Several horses made breaks last time out and it looked easier than it was. Three starts ago, he had no chance in V75 from post eight and he raced in long-distance races five times in a row, so I knew he would be OK when the distance was shorter in his last start. This is a middle-distance race again and he drew well, but it's a tougher field. He could win, but a top-three spot is more realistic. He will race barefoot and in the American sulky again. I think Hagrid, who has been very good lately, will be tough to beat here".
"5 Take This Society (V86-7) lost the second place he should have had because of me in his last start. Noralf Brekkan said before the race that he wanted cover with his horse, so I let him go and went out for the retake but got denied. I tried again to get to the lead but was parked for the last 1,200 meters and the horse got a lot of mixed signals. He felt good and he was better than in the start before. He will race in an American sulky this time but considering his last start, he will get a nice trip here. Barefoot all around again," says Oskar Florhed.
