V86: Castor The Star faces Francesco Zet again: "Great last time out"

Second behind Francesco Zet last time out –but faces his nemesis again.
The trainer is chuffed with Castor The Star but not as happy about the post position.
Jörgen Westholm comes to V86 in Lindesberg with four interesting starters.

STL Summer Trot continues its tour around Sweden.
This Wednesday, the scenic Fornaboda Racetrack in Lindesberg gets to host V86. The highlight of the year for the racetrack that only races in the five brightest months of the year.
This year they are getting a visit from a prominent guest. Francesco Zet will race in the Wednesday feature, Bergslagsloppet. The world-class trotter was defeated in Elitloppet but returned to the winner's circle in his most recent start, in Norrbottens Stora Pris.
8 Castor The Star (V86-3) was a terrific second behind Francesco Zet last time out. The 6-year-old raced in the final of the Paralympic Trot earlier this year, and in his most recent start, he showed that he is starting to grow intothe open class – and now awaits another battle with the victor from his most recent start.
"He was great last time out; I was pleased with him. We drew a terrible post this time though and he risks getting into traffic trouble from out there. He needs a lot of luck to win, but my horse is in terrific form. He will race with shoes this week, due to the post position, but form-wise, everything is perfect," says trainer Jörgen Westholm.
Have you planned anything after this start?
"There is a plan, but at the same time, not a certain race we are aiming at. We will make this start first and we will see after that".
Kind of Silver coming along nicely
The Solvalla trainer has three more V86 starters in Lindesberg. All are of interest to the bettors.
9 Kind of Silver (V86-2) for example. The mare was winless in her first 16 career starts but has won two in a row lately. The talented Victor S Sundgren takes the reigns in an apprentice race on Wednesday.
"Yes, Kind of Silver has been good lately. She has been in tough races before, maybe too tough, but combined with her good form, she is coming along nicely now. Starting in the second tier is a disadvantage and she is stronger than fast, but Victor has nice hands and I'm sure he can guide her to a good result, she might be a winning candidate," says Jörgen.
The fourth leg is a stayer race over three kilometers.
The Westholm stable's contribution to the race is the French horse 1 Haxo d'Avignere (V86-4), who seems to be in a nice spot here. The gelding is the sole starter on the starting distance.
"Haxo is strong as liquor and his gait is getting better and better too. This is an interesting spot, my horse likes it, and should his gait work out and we can set a tough, even pace in the lead, he should be able to finish top three, at least".
Finally: What can you say about 14 Guli Fantom (V86-6) who has made quite a few breaks lately?
"Yes, he has made some breaks lately, but that's also something we are used to when it comes to him. He looks good in training, but we drew a trickier post position this time, so we have to find the right cover. If we can do that, he could beat many down the stretch. He's a horse who usually delivers the best in the wintertime, but I think he can race well in the summer too since his form seems good".
