V75 (Sunday): "Önas Prince could not feel any better"

Per Nordström has been waiting for a whole year with Önas Prince.
The last tune-up race is on Sunday and that is the Danish race Copenhagen Cup.
"He couldn't feel any better and of course, I believe in my horse" says Per Nordström.

We are not that many weeks away from Elitloppet now. Per Nordström has had this race in mind for almost a year now. Önas Prince made a break in the last turn in last year's Elitlopp and the Jägersro trainer wants revenge this year.
"My horse is better prepared this year and everything has gone according to plan. His heart rate is perfect and he feels fantastic" says Per Nordström.
What do you think of the horses that are invited so far?
"It looks like it will be a strong field and the best Elitlopp in a long time. I can just congratulate Solvalla and it seems like it will be an extraordinary party. I have a good horse, but others do too, and I would say San Moteur is my favorite to win it right now".

"I believe in my horse"
On Sunday, V75 goes to Denmark and their biggest race day where Copenhagen Cup is the featured race on a day full of top trotters.
Per Nordström has had Copenhagen Cup in his plans for Önas Prince for a long time.
"It will be perfect with a tightener two weeks before Elitloppet. He has trained as usual and lately it's been a bit lighter training for him and he feels just the way I want".
The post position draw did not come out the way they had hoped, but it does not worry Nordström much.
"Önas Prince races well with any type of trip and I don't want to lock in on any certain type of tactic before the race, even if my horse leaves very fast I have to let him decide a little bit too and anything can happen when the gates open".
He is the natural favorite in this race, right?
"Absolutely, he has shown that he is an elite trotter and has had a strong start to the year. I believe in my horse and he will race with the optimal equipment to be able to win".
The Nordström stable has one more starter on V75 on Sunday.
"8 Fairplay (V75-2) is a nice horse, who I think will be good in the fall season. He is big and heavy and needs a few more starts and more training too. He will need the summer and I think we are on the right path with him. Unfortunately he drew poorly and that doesn't help his case".
