V75® (Saturday): "The best horse in my stable"

Kevin Svedlund is waiting for his first V75® win.
That could become reality when Gävle is hosting the races on Saturday.
"In Your Time is one of the horses who can win the race" says the hometown trainer.

Kevin Svedlund has been a trainer for three years now. His stable has grown steadily and he now trains 20 horses and has surpassed SEK 1 million in earnings for the first time.
"I have mediocre stock to work with. The horses in my stable do pretty well considering their pre-conditions. It's hard to find new owners. The times are tough and I often have to purchase horses myself and get some results with them. Then it's a bit easier to sell them to owners" says Kevin Svedlund.
After making a few stops in our neighboring countries Norway and Denmark, V75 Winter Burst returns to Sweden and Gävle on Saturday where Kevin Svedlund hopes to win before the hometown crowd with 4 In Your Time (V75-7).
"It's a very nice horse and the best one in my stable. He has all the qualities a good horse should have and I'm certain he's good enough to race on Saturdays".
In Your Time has been away from racing almost the entire year and has only made one start in the last eleven months.
"He had a sore suspensory, nothing serious, but healing took longer than expected. He trained during his time off and has done a lot of walking and also a good amount of heavy training".

How pleased were you with his return?
"I was very pleased. He was just as good as I hoped. It was a fast beginning of the race, faster than 1:10 speed the first 200 meters before I found a spot in the pocket. I wanted to leave a bit to get him started up, but not very long and it turned out well. He dug in well to the finish line and gave me the answer I wanted".

How did he come out of the race?
"He came out of it well, he feels good and I hope he will be much improved with that start in his legs. It feels that way in training, too".

Has aimed at this race
He is quick in the start, do you want the lead?
"It's hard to commit to any certain type of tactics. He can leave well and I will try to leave with him and if it doesn't cost too much, I am open to racing him in the lead. In Your Time is versatile and he races well with any trip and on any distance".

Are you making any chances?
"In his last start, he raced with an open bridle, I will change that to either a pull-down bridle or a blind bridle. I'm leaning toward a pull-down bridle, he can get a bit fresh behind the gate with blinds, so I might just pull the blinds down just before the start instead".

Will you be surprised if he wins?
"No, my horse is good and, on his way up. It's a wide-open race and I think In Your Time is one of the horses who can win. I have aimed at this race for a while".

You also drive 5 Victory Topline in V75-5 who won't be on many tickets, can you upset?
"No, I can't imagine that. He is starting to get old and doesn't have that same heart at the end. He has had his share of injuries throughout his career. He feels good and he can leave well and I will try to get as good of a trip as possible and hopefully, we can get a check".
