He comes off a blowout win in his seasonal debut and so far in his career he has won nine out ouf twelve starts.
The presumed leader could be hard to catch in the stayer test Harper Hanovers race.
"I am excited" says the driver magnus Teien Gundersen.
2 Imperatur Am (V75-7) has only missed the board once, in the Swedish Trotting Derby, and that time he got the chance too late and closed well to finish seventh. In the field behind him was Kentucky River, who is the favorite in the Saturday feature - Harpers Hanovers race over three kilometers. Imperatur Am is one of two horses starting from the starting distance, 20 meters ahead of Kentucky River and 40 meters before horses like Aetos Kronos and Moni Viking. Just to mention a few of the top trotters in this race.
"With such few horses on the starting distance it is easier for the horses in the back to get in the race, but I have a horse who never been bottomed out. He always brings his best game and we are happy with him in training so it will be exciting to see how he does in a race like this" says the driver Magnus Teien Gundersen about the five-year-old trained by his father Geir Vegard Gundersen.
"Will be incredibly exciting"
Imperatur Am closed out last year by sprinting to victory in a class 1 final at Solvalla and after a winter of training without any problems, he made his seasonal debut at the beginning of May and won very easily from the lead. They are looking for that same position this time.
"Since we are on the starting distance we have to take advantage of that head start, but throughout the race the others will catch up and the strongest horse will be the one who wins it. I am very excited about my horse, he is very good, but there are many incredibly good horses in the race. Everyone who has a strong horse aims for this race ever since they raised the purse. But it will be incredibly exciting".
SEK 1 million awaits the winner of Harper Hanovers race.
