V75®: Ready for revenge

Last time out, he made a break with a chance to win in the last turn.
When he is back on V75 this Saturday, his trainer believes in revenge.
"He's simply a very nice horse who hasn't made enough money to match his talent yet".

Conrad Lugauer has four starters on V75 at his home track this Saturday. The first one out is 4 Leroy Boko (V75-2) who looked to have things under control when he made a break sitting second over, in his most recent start.
"I think he would have won without the break, last time out. It felt that way, the entire race and especially in the last turn when he made the break. I don't have an explanation as to why he broke stride, the only change we had made was that we raced him barefoot upfront and maybe he didn't have enough foot. I don't think that's it, because I had saved his feet but every horse is different and he hasn't made that many starts without shoes" says Conrad Lugauer in this week's episode of 'V75 - lördag hela veckan'.
"He's a fantastic horse. He was my big Derby hope until he started having some health issues, but he's a very nice horse who hasn't made enough money to match his talent. I think very highly of him and he has trained really well. Now that he drew well, I think we have a good chance to get our revenge for last time".

Barefoot all around for the first time
Among the opponents, we find his stable mate 9 Västerbo Tramp (V75-2)
"He has developed nicely, in a way I didn't think he would and that's nice to see. But he loves to trot at an even pace, which he also can do at a higher level, but on V75 you have to be more of a complete racehorse in my opinion. He will be dangerous, should the race be over paced, then he closes well and he's an honest horse who does his best every time, but he struggles when they speed up and that can be his downfall. But his form is at a hundred percent and the post position is OK for him. I think he can hit the board, but winning might be tough".
In the following race, 6 Devs Donator (V75-3) will defend the colors of the Lugauer stable and the five-year-old will race barefoot all around for the very first time.
"He's a horse you can expect a lot from again. He wins his races on his own and he usually leaves very well and sits in or near the front and he rarely races badly. Now he races on V75 and I feel that I need to help him. He should not be handicapped in any way, therefore I pull all his shoes. I simply want to win this race, because if he wins or finishes second, a fantastic final awaits" says Conrad Lugager, and means the STL finals at the Elitlopp weekend at Solvalla.
In Diamantstoet, it's time for 8 Devs Daffodil (V75-5) to enter the track.
"She's a fantastic lady who impresses me more or less every time I get to sit behind her in a race. She's on the small side and incredibly intelligent and I don't have to mention that she is good, if she wasn't she wouldn't race in this class. I think it was two starts ago when she was only beaten half a length by Honey Mearas, who raced in Prix d'Amerique four weeks later, so 'Daffi' can do it all".
"Post eight is obviously not good but she can close extremely fast, so if I can find a spot somewhere she will be dangerous, and if they leave very fast, I wouldn't mind sitting in the back and letting her go the last 800 meters. She should not be written off, but I can’t demand a win out of her the way I do from 'Donator' or 'Leroy' but I won't be surprised if she wins, she is such a fantastic mare".
