V75®: Gocciadoro sends out a hot trio

Last Wednesday, her sparring partner made her seasonal debut with a bang.
On Saturday, she makes her first start of the year.
Esperia Font is one of three highly interesting starters from the Alessandro Gocciadoro stable when V75 comes to Örebro.

Diva Ek was mighty impressive when she, in her seasonal debut last Wednesday, beat the leading Felicia Zet despite a trip on the outside. This weekend, her stablemate and sparring partner Esperia Font (V75-1) is ready to make her first start of the year. The opponents better watch out if she comes out as well prepared in the Diamantstoet.
"She has trained once at Solvalla, together with Diva Ek. It wasn't very fast, but both were powerful. I'm not saying she's in top form, but I think she's ready for a very good effort right away," says Sinead Sernicoli in the Alessandro Gocciadoro stable.
"Post position eight is not easy, of course, but we have seen her win in so many ways. She's not the horse that needs a certain trip to be able to win. She will race barefoot all around ."
Should be considered despite the post
Diva Ek (V75-2) had no luck in the draw, either, as she drew post position twelve in the second tier behind the gate in the Silver division. She had the same post position when she last time out made her third start of the year and almost got up for the win after a lightning fast finish, out wide. As opposed to her last start, she is now entered barefoot all around and with an American sulky.
"She raced great last time out, when she finished second. She is good enough for the Silver division, but when you start from these post positions, it doesn't matter what type of horse you have; you can always get too far back. We are always optimistic when she races, so we hope it will work out."
The last chance for the Paralympic Trot
Last but not least, the nine-time millionaire Charmant de Zack (V75-6) will defend the Giocciadoro colors on Saturday. He has battled in tough races in his native Italy and France, and last year he won twice in the Gold division in Sweden. When he now makes his seasonal debut, it's once again in the highest class, and in the pot is a ticket to the final of the Paralympic Trot.
"He trained once at Solvalla and was pretty good then. He is the type of horse that gets a bit heavy when he's off from racing and might need a start or two before he's in top form, but I think his form is at least 80 percent. He raced with shoes when he made his last start last year because it was mandatory, but now he will race barefoot."
